Refund policy

Return & Refund Policy – River’s Aquatics

At River’s Aquatics, all sales are considered final. Due to the nature of live animals and specialty products, we do not offer traditional returns or refunds.


Live Animals (Corals, Fish, Invertebrates)

  • Covered under our Live Arrival / DOA Policy only.

  • No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be provided beyond the conditions outlined in that policy.

  • Approved claims (if any) are issued as store credit only, at our discretion.


Dry Goods & Equipment

  • All sales are final.

  • We do not accept returns or exchanges unless:

    • The item arrives damaged due to shipping, or

    • The item is incorrect due to our error

If an Issue Occurs

  • Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photo/video proof.

  • If approved:

    • Resolution will be provided at our discretion (replacement, store credit, or other solution).

  • If an incorrect item is received and is of equal or greater value, the customer may keep it but must notify us.


Consignment Items

  • All consignment items are sold as-is and are final sale.

  • No returns, refunds, or guarantees are offered on used equipment.


Non-Returnable Situations

We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • Improper use, installation, or handling

  • Livestock loss after delivery

  • Buyer’s remorse or change of mind

  • Failure to read product descriptions

  • Minor variations in color, size, or appearance


Shipping Costs

  • All shipping costs are non-refundable under any circumstance.


Chargebacks

  • Customers agree to contact us before initiating any dispute.

  • Unauthorized chargebacks may result in:

    • Denial of future service

    • Permanent ban from purchasing


In-Store Sales

  • All in-store purchases are final sale.

  • No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be accepted once the item leaves the store.

  • Customers are responsible for inspecting all items prior to purchase.

Livestock

  • No guarantees are provided after livestock leaves the store.

Equipment & Dry Goods

  • Must be inspected before leaving.

  • Any issues must be addressed at the time of purchase.


Final Authority

  • All return, refund, and replacement decisions are made at the sole discretion of River’s Aquatics.
